🐰Faefina, in her trance, sees herself on a smallholding with Granny for some time, helping her farm. Seized by curiosity, she asks Granny about her friends, and Granny tells her that she'd told her friends that she wanted to be with her for a while.
🧔♂️Harald, in the Arcanum with the others, is frozen. 🧌Gronk and Kineeta will need to deal with the Archmage alone. Ushered into the archmage's office, they are greeted by a centaur at a standing desk, who dismisses the guards. He hugs Kineeta, and asks Gronk about his magic. The archmage asks Kineeta where the fate compass is. Gronk says that he dwarf probably still has it under the mountain. Under the archmage's probing, Gronk tells him about their adventures, while Kineeta, quietly restrained, winces behind him as he does.
Meanwhile, Faefina, is at dinner with Granny. Granny points out that the weather is stormy. She asks what dark secret Faefina has kept from herself. Faefina demurs, but Granny presses her gently. Faefina mentions the purple robed man, and the people who would not let her hurt them. Granny promises that in the morning they will go to the well, but tonight they could eat and enjoy.
Back in the Arcanum, the archmage asks Gronk if he knows why they were brought there. He says that there are certain privileges associated with being the archmage, and Gronk sees a thin metal ring on his finger. He says that he can divine the future, and that in the enclave, the question to be called will mean Faefina must make a difficult call, and the outcome could be very good or bad. He says that he will need Gronk and Harald to help Faefina, but Kineeta will need to stay behind.
He offers Gronk Turkish Delight, tells him to take a deep breath, and waves his hand. Gronk and Harald find themselves back in the grove.
At the well, Granny steps somehow into the bucket, and gestures Faefina to get in with her. They descend into the darkness of the well, and Faefina wakes up in front of the trunk of the great tree. 🍀Lola grabs her as the trunk splits open and Granny, the Longest Lived One steps out.
She calls the enclave together, and asks who shall call the question to everyone. Mrs Bobbit and Mrrrion stand up, and declare that it is whether to declare war on the Arcanum.
Gronk, seeing Faefina wake up, shouts with his mouth full to her to not make the choice that lets people die.
An older druid stands and says he remembers times of great war with wizardkind but believes they should not be ruling the world. Faefina, standing right next to Granny, says that she is sick of death and fighting.
Another druid proclaims themselves for war. Gronk claims that wizards are good, because they've been paying them. The druid of the hunt stands against war. 🍀Lola agrees. The votes come down equally on either side, with Granny left as the deciding vote. Granny holds Faefina, thanks her for waking her up, and for showing her so much. Turning and addressing the enclave, she says it is time to put an end to the Arcanum.
She declares a feast for the evening, and preparations begin for that. The dissenting druids whisper among themselves and then address Faefina, who declares herself on Granny's side. 'To war!' she shouts. Gronk, using telekinesis, summons wood out of the forest into a pile in the grove, and then casts bonfire on them.
🍀Lola cautions Faefina that war between the druids and mages would lead to mutually assured destruction.
As the party kicks off, a fire Genasi woman dances in the bonfire, wearing plate armour. Faefina recognises her as Huluna, he created Neo-Bori. She grabs a rock, and throws it at her. As she does so, several Neo-Boris walk out of the forest.
Squaring up against Huluna and a Neo-Bori, Faefina asks about her obsession with Bori. Huluna declares her love not of Bori, but the rage inside of him.
Faefina swings at her with her morningstar, but misses. She casts spiritual weapon.
Huluna suggests that Faefina drop her weapon, but Faefina resists.
The NeoBori raises his great axe and swings at Faefina, but misses.
Gronk casts Storm Sphere over Huluna and Neo Bori, dealing 11 dmg to Neo Bori. Gronk casts a bolt of lightning at Neo Bori, dealing another 20 dmg.
Faefina swings her morningstar on Neo Bori, hitting him for 25 dmg. 'Stop wearing Bori's face!' she cries.
Her spiritual weapon misses.
Neo Bori and Huluna both take 7 dmg from the sphere.
Neo Bori swings at Gronk, hitting him for 10dmg.
Huluna looks at Faefina, giving 11 psy dmg and stunning her.
Gronk casts chaos bolt on Neo Bori, dealing 27dmg
A bolt of lightning hits Bori from the sphere, dealing another 19dmg.
Huluna reaches out to NeoBori, and blood stops flowing from his wounds. Pointing at Gronk she tells him to think of nothing. Gronk goes slack jawed, and the storm sphere disappears.
Gronk, snapping to, casts Storm sphere on Huluna, causing 10 dmg to her. A bolt of lightning shoots towards Neo Bori but misses.
Faefina's spiritual weapon misses Neo Bori, but she hits for 16dmg, killing him.
Huluna cries 'No!', holds out her hands, and starts muttering, Psychic energy roils around Gronk and Faefina, giving them 9 psy dmg and stunning them.
The storm sphere disappears.
Faefina recovers herself and swings her axe, dealing 10 dmg. Her spiritual weapon misses.
'Let me show you what a real cleric can do' says Huluna, and flames rain down on them. Gronk takes 23 dmg, and Faefina takes 11dmg.
Recovering from his stunned state, Gronk throws out his hands, and she is transformed into a worm. Faefina squashes her with her shield.
Granny emerges from her tent, sees the NeoBori and the worm guts. She waves her hands, and the remaining NeoBoris' heads explode.
The next morning, Granny speaks to Faefina. She decides that the war must go ahead, but she will delay it for a while. She wants Faefina to find out where Huluna came from, and about her obsession with Bori.
Gronk and Faefina get 7000Xp ea.
